January protests / Ayoub Shaker killed by direct gunfire from security forces in Tehran

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Friday, January 9, 2026, a 27-year-old Kurdish citizen named Ayoub Shaker, from the village of Sorkh in Bojnord, was killed in Tehran during public protests. He succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
