Tehran / Saeed Piri was arbitrarily arrested subjected to torture and denied access to medical treatment

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Saeed Piri, from Abdanan, was arrested by security forces in the Haft-Hoz area of Narmak, Tehran.

Hana has learned that following his abduction, Saeed Piri was subjected to severe physical torture for at least ten days. As a result of the torture, he suffered broken ribs and serious damage to his teeth, losing at least two of them.

It should be noted that despite his critical physical condition, this Kurdish citizen is still being held in Tehran and has so far been denied access to adequate medical treatment, an independent physician, and urgent medical care.
