Awat Qaderpur, a 20-year-old young man from Malla-ler village and a resident of Bukan, was shot on November 18, 2022 during the nationwide protests following the state killing of Jina Amini. While inside his personal vehicle at a checkpoint near the Nachit village, in Bukan county, he was targeted with 17 rounds of live ammunition fired directly at him by Islamic Republic security forces, leaving him critically wounded. Due to the severity of his injuries, he died on November 30, 2022 at Seyed al-Shohada Hospital in Orumiyeh.
Awat Qaderpur’s burial took place on December 1, 2022, at night and under heavy security presence, in Malla-ler village.
