Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that, in the early hours of Thursday, October 30, 2025, two citizens identified as Raouf Farokhi and Rahim Rahmani were arrested by forces affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence in Piranshahr and transferred to one of the agency’s detention centers in Orumiyeh.
According to the report, Intelligence Ministry agents raided the home of Raouf Farokhi in the city of Piranshahr and the home of Rahim Rahmani, a resident of the Zangiyawi village in the same county, and arrested them.
The report adds that during the operation, the security forces used drones over the homes of the two citizens to instill fear and terror, destroyed the doors and windows of Raouf Farokhi’s house, and confiscated several personal belongings belonging to both families.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for their arrest or the charges brought against them.
