Negin Abdolmaleki, a 21-year-old woman from Qorveh and a student at Hamedan University of Technology, died on October 12, 2022 during the nationwide protests over the state-sanctioned killing of Zhina Amini. She lost her life after returning to her dormitory due to severe head injuries inflicted by repeated baton blows from the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
State-affiliated media falsely claimed that her death was caused by alcohol consumption, and her father was coerced to appear on camera and deny that his daughter had been killed by government forces.
