Orumieh; The suicide of the second soldier during the last week

According to the reports received by the Human Rights Organization; On the evening of Thursday, December 29, 2022, a Kurdish soldier with the identity of “Keivan Alumovaneh” son of Gazan and from the village of “Kotalan” in Orumieh city, committed suicide by taking pills and ended his life.

This informed source added that the named person had an argument with his family and tried to take pills because of an extra month of service that was forced on him.

It should be noted that on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, another soldier identified as "Armin Pourmand", the son of Hassan and from the village of "Aghchaqal" in Somabradost region of Orumieh, committed suicide by hanging himself in one of the barracks of the Islamic Republic in Salmas city.

The military service in the Islamic Republic of Iran is mandatory for men over 18, and if they do not have a military service card, they will not benefit from the basic facilities and documents for citizens, such as passport, business licenses, or work in government offices, etc.
Due to the chaotic economic situation, lack of job, and low job security, as well as the low welfare level of the society and the lack of hope for the future, many mental and psychological problems of the society have been intertwined. That's why everyday we witness mass protests, civil disobedience and especially ending lives in Kurdistan and other geo-political cities of Iran.
