One Month Extension of Arkan Ahmadi’s Detention Order

According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Arkan Ahmadi, a citizen from Hengazhal village who resides in Marivan County, has remained in the custody of the Intelligence Department for more than five weeks since his arrest. According to Hana, his detention order has been extended for another month.

Meanwhile, psychological and security pressure on Arkan Ahmadi’s family has continued. On September 26, his wife and 13 year old son were summoned to the Marivan Intelligence Department, where they were reportedly subjected to insults, disrespect, and threats during interrogation.

Arkan Ahmadi was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, after Intelligence Department forces raided his home and transferred him to an undisclosed location. Despite requiring medication, he has reportedly not been allowed access to his prescribed medication.

As of the publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him.
