According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, a significant number of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces were deployed at Dastgheyb School, located on Park-e Moallem Alley in Baneh.
One day earlier, on Wednesday, September 23, military equipment and hardware that had been positioned on the school grounds were removed from the premises. However, according to the information received, IRGC forces remain present inside the school building and on its grounds, with the deployment taking place while students are present at the educational facility.
As of the publication of this report, the reason for the deployment of these forces at Dastgheyb School and the nature of their mission remain unclear. The deployment comes amid heightened security measures in Baneh and other cities across Kurdistan in recent days, with increased activity and presence of military and security forces.
