Two More Citizens Arrested in Piranshahr as Daily Detention Count Reaches Three

According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Sunday, August 23, 2026, Loghman Seydeh and Mohammad Daneshmayeh, two citizens from Piranshahr, were detained by security forces and transferred to undisclosed locations.

Loghman Seydeh, a married citizen from Pasveh, in Piranshahr County, was detained after security forces entered his home, without presentation of a judicial warrant. Mohammad Daneshmayeh, son of Qader, who is also known by the name “Mohammad Bivafa,” was likewise detained by security forces without presentation of a judicial warrant.

Hana had previously reported, in a separate report, on the detention, in the early hours of that same day, of Soran Mahmoudi, another citizen from Piranshahr. Counting these two additional cases, the number of citizens detained in Piranshahr within a single day has reached at least three.

As of the time of this report’s publication, no information is available regarding the reasons for their detention, the possible charges against them, their place of detention, or the status of Loghman Seydeh’s and Mohammad Daneshmayeh’s access to legal counsel and their families.
