Three Members of One Family Arrested by Security Forces in Divandareh

According to reports received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, August 14, 2026, three members of a family from Divandareh County, namely Maryam Moradian, Sirous Hamidi, and their 16 year old child, Kurdia Hamidi, were detained by security forces.

According to information received, security forces detained these three citizens, without presentation of a judicial warrant, in the village of Zafarabad (Zafar Awa), in Karaftu District, Divandareh County, and subsequently transferred them to Sanandaj Central Prison and the Women’s Prison (Correction and Rehabilitation Center).

Kurdia Hamidi, 16 years old, who had been held in solitary confinement at Sanandaj Women’s Prison together with her mother, Maryam Moradian, has been released after four days of interrogation.

It should be noted that Sirous Hamidi and Maryam Moradian remain in detention in solitary confinement cells in the prisons of Sanandaj, and no precise information is available to date regarding their condition.

As of the time of this report’s compilation, no official information has been provided regarding the reasons for the detention, the possible charges, or the agency responsible for detaining these three citizens, and the continued absence of information regarding the condition of Maryam Moradian and Sirous Hamidi has heightened the concern of their family and those close to them.
