According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at least three prisoners from Kermanshah and Nourabad were executed over the past two days in Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah and Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
According to Hana’s sources, at dawn today, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the death sentence of a prisoner identified as Milad Yari, from Nourabad, was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj on charges related to “drug offenses.”
Furthermore, at dawn on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners — Ghasem Sojoudi and Arsalan Khani, both from Kermanshah — were carried out in Dizelabad Prison in the same city.
According to received reports, Ghasem Sojoudi and Arsalan Khani were arrested four years ago in separate cases on charges related to “drug offenses” and were later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Hana Human Rights Organization has consistently condemned the Islamic Republic’s criminal justice policy and its use of the death penalty as a form of punishment, considering it irreversible and inhumane.
