According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Seyed Ali Ghoreishi, a popular 67-year-old artist and traditional singer from Bukan, was temporarily released from Bukan Prison on Monday, June 1, 2026, after posting bail.
Mr. Ghoreishi was arrested by security forces at his private residence on the evening of Monday, May 11, 2026, without a judicial warrant. He was initially transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence detention center in Orumiyeh for interrogation. Following the completion of his questioning, he was transferred to Bukan Prison in recent days before his release.
Seyed Ali Ghoreishi is a retired telecommunications employee and a father of three. He is a highly respected and well-known public figure in Bukan, celebrated for his decades-long dedication to local folk music.
