According to reports received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Sardar Sohrabi, 43, a blogger from Marivan residing in Sanandaj, was arrested by FARAJA security police in the city on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
According to information received, the arrest followed posts he made on his personal page in support of protesters and voicing social and public demands, and he was transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison after his arrest.
At the same time as his arrest, his Instagram page was blocked on the orders of the public places surveillance police, and all posts, videos, and other content on it were completely removed.
