HANA Human Rights Organization has learned that a citizen identified as Kamal Piranpour, 43, from Mahabad, was arrested by security forces on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and taken to an undisclosed location.
Security forces raided his home and arrested him by force, without presenting any judicial warrant, according to information received.
At the time of this report, nothing is known about the reasons for his arrest, the agency behind it, or the charges against him.
Stressing the need to uphold fair trial principles, HANA Human Rights Organization calls for immediate clarity on Kamal Piranpour’s condition, disclosure of his whereabouts, a guarantee of his access to a lawyer of his choosing and to his family, and full respect for his legal rights.
