Hana’s Special Report on the Tragic Murder of a Mother and Her 8-Month-Old Fetus in Kermanshah

According to information obtained by the Hana Human Rights Organization, approximately two months ago, a 27-year-old woman named Golnar Rostami Sefat, a mother of one from Lal Abad, Mahidasht, in Kermanshah province, was shot and killed by two female relatives of her husband. At the time of the attack, she was eight months pregnant.

Hana’s investigations reveal that Golnar had gone to a family gathering at her husband’s relatives’ home in Mahidasht when she was targeted with a firearm by her sister-in-law and another woman. Medical reports indicate that the fetus immediately lost all vital signs following the gunfire, and Golnar, after spending 21 days in a coma, also passed away.

A reliable source told Hana that one of the perpetrators, the victim’s sister-in-law, has been arrested, while the second woman involved in the murder is on the run. Further investigations by Hana indicate that after being temporarily detained for a few days, Golnar’s sister-in-law was released on bail. As of the time of this report, no further details regarding the case or the motives behind this horrific crime have been disclosed.
