According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, Evin Prison guard forces entered Halls 3 and 4 of Ward 7 and, following a physical confrontation and beating, transferred four political prisoners, namely Amirhossein Moradi, Hassan Amidi, Ehsan Rostami, and Mojtaba Taqavi, to an undisclosed location.
According to informed sources, approximately 50 guard personnel entered this section under the pretext of conducting room inspections. In the course of this operation, some of the prisoners’ belongings were destroyed, and a number of their personal effects were confiscated. As of the time of this report’s compilation, no information is available regarding the whereabouts or condition of these four prisoners.
This comes as, one week earlier, Evin Prison guards had, in a similar operation, transferred Amirhossein Moradi, Ehsan Rostami, and Afshin Heyratian from their place of confinement to other halls within the prison following a physical confrontation.
