Continued Lack of Information Regarding the Fate of Mamand Khodadadi After More Than a Week in Detention

The Hana Human Rights Organization reports that more than a week has passed since the arrest of Mamand Khodadadi, a citizen from Naqadeh, and as of the publication of this report, no precise information is available regarding his whereabouts, health condition, reasons for arrest, or potential charges.

According to the information received, Mr. Khodadadi was arrested by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location. This action lacks legal validity even under the minimum legal standards of the Islamic Republic.

According to Article 32 of the Constitution, no one may be arrested except by the order and procedure defined by law, and the charges, along with the underlying reasons, must be immediately communicated to the accused. Furthermore, the Criminal Procedure Code recognizes the detainee’s right to notify their family, the right to access legal counsel, and the obligation of law enforcement officers to inform the detained individual of their rights.

Hana declares that such criminal conduct by government forces is a clear manifestation of arbitrary detention.
