According to the media center of the Islamic Republic’s Judiciary, the death sentence of Amir-Ali Mirjafari was carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, April 21, 2026, following confirmation by the Supreme Court.
The Judiciary stated that his case was related to the arson at the Qolhak Grand Mosque, facing charges such as “cooperation with Mossad” and participation in “anti-security” activities. The published report also noted that Mirjafari, in his statements, had mentioned his involvement in the protests of January 8, 2026.
Simultaneously, the Judiciary’s media center announced that in separate cases across two provinces, 22 other individuals have been sentenced to prison terms on charges of “cooperation with the enemy.”
