According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization:
At dawn on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the death sentences of at least five prisoners were carried out in Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
The identities of these five prisoners, as confirmed by Hana Human Rights Organization, are: Amanollah Barahouei, 56, from Zahedan; Mahmoud Ali Naseri; Akbar Mousavi from Nourabad; Salah-e din Amoudi from Ardebil; and Abdollah Pashtoui from Afghanistan.
It is worth noting that Amanollah Barahouei, Mahmoud Ali Naseri, Akbar Mousavi, and Salah-e din Amoudi had been arrested on charges related to “drug offenses” and were sentenced to death in separate cases by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Abdollah Pashtoui was also sentenced to death on charges of “theft.”
