Hana has learned that Borhan Ahmadi, a 34-year-old resident of Arandan village in Sanandaj, was abducted by security forces near the Sanandaj terminal around May 25, 2025. He was subsequently subjected to torture and forced to make a coerced confession and a televised statement against himself.
It is worth noting that in recent days, a video has been circulated showing an individual insulting a fellow driver for not joining the strike. Security forces have attributed this incident to Borhan Ahmadi.
According to Hana’s sources, security agents have subjected Ahmadi to severe torture and pressure under the pretext of organizing the strike and coercing other drivers into participation.
Ahmadi remains in extrajudicial detention, and according to individuals close to his family, multiple complaints have been filed against him under the direction of security agents.
Hana expresses deep concern and holds the Sanandaj Prosecutor and security authorities responsible for ensuring Borhan Ahmadi’s physical safety.
