A political prisoner released after 21 years of imprisonment without leave

Hana: On Saturday (October 30, 2021), Saeed Sangar, a political prisoner from Piranshahr, was released from prison after 21 years in prison.

 

Saeed Sangar is a 48-year-old resident of Piranshahr. He was arrested in Marivan in September 2000 for supporting the People's Mojahedin of Iran Organization (PMIO) and transferred to Tehran.

Saeed Sangar never had the right to leave during his imprisonment. In addition to a long period of solitary confinement, he endured 13 rigged executions with a rope.
