Statistics for Kolbars in July 2021
Hana: Hana Human Rights Statistics Center collects data and statistics from different sectors in Iranian Kurdistan every month, this statistic is not all the cases and situations that happened, but it is all the efforts of Hana's colleagues. In this section, the statistics presented regarding the cases of killing and injuring Kolbars in the border areas in the provinces of Kurdistan are presented as of July 2021.
In July, Kolbars were killed and wounded, most of them by direct fire from police, the IRGC, or the border guards of the Islamic Republic. All of Kolbars casualties are male.
In terms of provincial separation:
3 cases occurred in Kermanshah province,
8 case in Sanandaj province,
and 8 cases in Uromiah province.
Of the 19 cases that occurred, 4 resulted in death and 15 cases resulted in injury.
Kolbari is a phenomenon resulting from poverty and systematic unemployment in Kurdistan, and people are forced to take refuge in Kolbari. It is dangerous for the people of Kurdistan. Law enforcement forces, the Revolutionary Guards, or the border guards of the Islamic Republic fire directly at the collaborators, killing or injuring a number of people on a daily basis.
