1 year in prison for a labor activist

Hana: A labor activist from Kermanshah, identified as Javanmir Moradi, was sentenced to 1 year in prison.

On Saturday (April 3, 2021), Branch 1 of the Kermanshah Court announced this sentence to him.

Activity against the regime and the release of a video of oneself about the victims of popular protests on November 2019 are the reason this Kurdish citizen has been charged for by the court.

Inadmissibility of political activity and lack of freedom of expression are among the most basic human rights that are openly violated in Iran.
