According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday evening, September 20, 2026, Amanj Mohammadpour, a 33 year old civil rights activist and journalist from Bukan, was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the information received, Ministry of Intelligence forces raided the home of the citizen and arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant. During the search of his home, the security forces also confiscated Amanj Mohammadpour’s mobile phone and laptop.
As of the publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reason for his arrest or any charges against him. His family’s efforts to obtain information about his whereabouts and place of detention have also so far been unsuccessful.
