The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that at dawn on Monday, May 25, 2026, the execution sentence of a prisoner identified as Farhang Sheikhleh, a resident of Sanandaj, was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison.
According to reports received by Hana, Farhang Sheikhleh was arrested in 2022 on charges of “premeditated murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As of the time of publishing this report, the execution has not been officially announced by Iran’s state media or judicial authorities.
