According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, a citizen identified as Shelir Mam-Qaderi, a mother of two from Mahabad, was arrested by Intelligence Department forces in the city.
To date, there is no precise information regarding her condition or whereabouts.
Based on received information, the reason for her arrest has been cited as her connection with the families of those killed during protests in Mahabad.
Reports indicate that at the time of her arrest, Shelir Mam-Qaderi was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment and taking necessary medications. However, her access to medical services and medicine following her detention remains unclear.
According to an informed source, Ms. Mam-Qaderi’s arrest was carried out using violence, resulting in a fractured knee.
It is worth noting that Shelir Mam-Qaderi has a prior history of detention.
