According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Friday, 20 March 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Houyar Zahabi, son of Ayoub and a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hana sources, Mr. Zahabi was detained without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and the arrest took place at his family home.
Houyar Zahabi had previously been arrested during the Woman, Life, Freedom Movement on 2 January 2023 by security forces.
It should be noted that, as of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or his place of detention.
