January protests / Danial Moradizadeh killed by direct gunfire from security forces in Tehran

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a 22-year-old Kurdish citizen named Danial Moradizadeh, from Kermanshah Province, was killed in the Narmak neighborhood of Tehran during public protests.

He succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to reports, his body was identified in the Kahrizak morgue in Tehran after a week of searching by his family.
