According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Navid Elahi Bolvardi, a nurse from Kermanshah Province, lost his life during the popular protests in Karaj while treating several injured citizens, as a result of direct live-fire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
