According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a 51-year-old Kurdish citizen named Abdin Khazaei, holding a master’s degree in biology and from Kangavar, lost his life during the popular protests in Fardis, Karaj, as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
