January protests: Hasanali Norouzi a Kurdish citizen, was killed by direct gunfire from the repressive forces in Mashhad

The Hana Human Rights Organization has been informed that a Kurdish citizen named Hasanali Norouzi, son of Vali and from Kermanshah, was killed by direct gunfire from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the January 1404 (2026) protests in the city of Mashhad.

A source close to Hasanali Norouzi’s family told the Hana Human Rights Organization that Hasanali had gone to Mashhad for work and was directly shot by the security forces during the popular protests, resulting in his death.

The source further added that after Hasanali’s death, his family went to the relevant authorities to receive his body, but instead of being handed over his body, they were only shown the location of a grave.
