According to Hana Human Rights Organization, during the January 2026 protests, a 38-year-old Kurdish citizen named Himat Karimi, from Marivan, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hana’s sources, Mr. Karimi was detained in Damghan without any judicial documentation by security forces.
It should be noted that since his arrest, there has been no reliable information regarding his condition, place of detention, or the detaining authority, and his family remains completely unaware of his situation.
