According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a 16-year-old child identified as Melika Shahmoradi, from Kerend-e Gharb, was killed by direct fire of live ammunition by repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during popular protests in the Shahrak-e Moalem neighborhood of Kermanshah.
Based on the reports, Melika was directly targeted by gunfire from repressive forces during the protest gatherings and later lost her life due to the severity of her injuries.
