Hossein Abdpanah, a 72-year-old resident of Sanandaj, was killed on November 19, 2022, during the nationwide protests sparked by the state killing of Zhina Amini. He died instantly after security forces of the Islamic Republic fired a large number of pellet rounds directly into his back in the Maskan-e Mehr area of Baharan Township in Sanandaj.
It should be noted that, following threats from security forces, his body was buried in Behesht-e Mohammadi Cemetery in Sanandaj in complete silence and with only his immediate family present.
