Aziz Moradi, a citizen from Sanandaj, was severely wounded on October 12, 2022 during nationwide protests over the state-sanctioned killing of Zhina Amini in the Naisar neighborhood of Sanandaj. He was shot at close range in the thigh and abdomen with a Kalashnikov by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and died from the severity of his injuries after being transferred to medical facilities.
