Based on the reports received; On Saturday, July 25, 2023, Hiva Azizpour, an athlete and a native of Saqqez, was sentenced to 31 months and 15 days in prison by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of this city, headed by Judge Javad Mostafaei, on the charge of “membership in the opposition groups of the country” and 7 months and 15 days in prison on the charge of “Propagating against the regime”.
With the application of Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, the severe punishment of 31 months and fifteen days of imprisonment will be applicable to him.
It should be noted that Hiva Azizpour was detained by the government forces in his personal home on Monday "February 27, 2023" without a court order, and then he was temporarily released from Saqqez prison with a heavy bail of 700 million tomans.
