According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: on Thursday, December 15, 2022, a Kurdish citizen with the identity of “Ali Amut”, 33 years old, son of Omar, married with two children, from “Aghgol” village, and a resident of “Keshmesh-Tape” in Maku city. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic in Khoy city for being a member of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), and he was deprived of social services and banned from leaving the country, and this sentence was officially communicated to him today.
On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, this citizen was temporarily released from Khoy prison by posting a heavy bail of one billion tomans until the end of the proceedings.
It is necessary to remember that on Monday "June 13, 2022" he was arrested by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Khoy city without a judicial order, and after three days of detention and torture, he was then transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation and finally on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, after completing the interrogation, he was transferred to Khoy prison.
It is worth noting that the mentioned person was denied access to a lawyer and meeting with his family during his detention.
