Transfer of a political prisoner to Sanandaj prison to serve her sentence

Hana: According to reports received, a Kurdish political prisoner named “Payam Anvari” , was transferred to Sanandaj prison.

This political prisoner from Baneh, who was arrested in 2018 and was sentenced in 2019 to five years by the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj on charges of membership in political parties in Kurdistan, then his sentence was reduced to three years and nine months in prison.
In spite of  that Kurdish parties in Kurdistan of Iran have not been allowed to act freely in Iran from the beginning of the revolution in 1978,  many Kurdish citizens are sentenced to imprisonment, tortured, executions, etc. by The courts of Iran every year on charges of collaborating and membership in these parties.
Allowing free political activity and membership in political parties is one of the most basic rights of individuals in a society that is easily violated by law in Iran.
