According to information received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, a 17-year-old boy identified as Siamand Azizi, son of Sirwan and a native of Sardasht, ended his life by suicide.
According to Hana’s sources, Siamand Azizi had been living in the city of Karaj for work and to support his family, and it was there that he took his own life.
It is worth noting that Siamand’s father, Sirwan Azizi, was killed in 2017 by direct fire from Iranian military forces while working as a kolbar (border porter) in the mountainous border region of Sardasht.
