The forced disappearance of a Kurdish language teacher from Islamabad-e Gharb

According to reports received from a source informed by Hana Human Rights Organization: a female citizen with the identity of “Kajal Watanpour”, a Kurdish language teacher and a resident of “Shabad”, was kidnapped by government forces and taken to an unknown place.

This source added that after more than 40 days have passed since the kidnapping of this citizen, her family's efforts to find out about her fate and whereabouts have been unsuccessful.

It should be noted that Kajal Watanpour, a native of Shaabad, Kermashan, and a graduate student in law at Ilam University, is an activist for women's rights and a Kurdish language teacher. She was arrested during public protests in Ilam city regarding the government murder of Zhina Amini on September 22, 2022 and has not been released until now.
The source also added that the 280 million bail of the kurdish female activist was not accepted by the judicial authority under the pretext of requiring more time to review the case and that she would continue to be in uncertainty.
