According to reports received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Sardar Ostad Ahmadi, son of Kamal and a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces on the morning of Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and taken to an undisclosed location.
Security agents raided his home and arrested him without a judicial warrant, according to information received. A day on, his family remains unaware of his whereabouts or condition, and their attempts to learn what has happened to him have so far led nowhere.
No official body has yet offered any explanation for the reasons behind his arrest, the charges against him, or where he is being held. Nothing is known either about whether he has been given access to a lawyer, allowed to contact or see his family, or afforded any of his other legal rights.
