According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, early on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the death sentence of Mostafa Vosoughi, a 27 year old prisoner from Nurabad (Delfan) in Lorestan province, was carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison.
Mostafa Vosoughi, from the village of “Rivasan” in South Itivand, Nurabad county, was arrested about three years ago on the charge of “premeditated murder” and subsequently sentenced to Qisas (retribution-in-kind). From the time of his arrest until the execution of his sentence, he spent nearly three years in prison.
The prisoner was married and the father of three children, including one son and two daughters.
As of the publication of this report, official sources of the Islamic Republic and the judiciary have not officially reported on the execution of Mostafa Vosoughi’s death sentence.
