According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, a 30-year-old Kurdish citizen named Mehrdad Hasanvand, from Darehshahr County in illam Province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
Hana has learned that Mr. Hasanvand’s arrest was carried out by security forces without presenting any judicial documents and was accompanied by physical assault and beating.
It should be noted that, since the time of his arrest, no information is available regarding the reason for his detention, his physical condition, or his place of confinement.
