According to Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, two detained brothers, Rezgar and Edris Rahimi, accused of espionage, were temporarily released from the Sanandaj IRGC Intelligence Detention Center after posting a heavy bail of one billion tomans.
It is worth noting that on Saturday, June 28, 2025, Edris and Rezgar Rahimi, along with their sister Derakhshan Rahimi from Sanandaj, were arrested by security forces without any judicial warrant, accused of “collaborating with Israel and having ties with the Komala Party.”
According to Hana’s sources, on Friday, September 20, 2025, Derakhshan Rahimi was transferred from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center to the women’s ward of Sanandaj Central Prison, and then on Wednesday, October 1, she was moved to an unknown location.
Since her arrest, Ms. Rahimi has been deprived of her most basic legal rights, including contact and visitation with her family and access to a lawyer of her choice. Hana expresses deep concern about her uncertain legal status and calls for her to have full access to defense rights, including legal representation.
