According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, a Kurdish political prisoner identified as Ramin Zleh, from Naqadeh city, who is currently held in the Naqadeh prison, has recently been sentenced to death by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad, presided over by Judge Siyami, on the charge of “baghi” (armed rebellion).

This sentence was issued while Ramin Zleh has been detained for more than 508 days. His trial was conducted in a short online session without access to his chosen lawyer, and the verdict was officially communicated to him on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Hana has learned that throughout all stages of detention and interrogation, this political prisoner has been denied basic human rights, including the right to contact or visit with his family, and he was also prevented from accessing a lawyer of his choice.

It is worth noting that Ramin Zleh was arrested on July 22, 2024, after security forces raided his family home without presenting a judicial warrant, and he was subsequently transferred to Naqadeh prison.
