Yahya Rahimi, a 31-year-old man from Sanandaj, was killed on October 8, 2022, on 6 Bahman Street in the city. While loading his tiling tools into his car and preparing to go to the Sharifabad neighborhood for work, he encountered the wave of protests and, as a sign of protest, honked his car horn. He was then shot at close range in the head by plainclothes security forces and killed.
It should be noted that his death certificate listed the cause of death as a fractured and crushed skull due to a high-velocity projectile.
