Sepehr Azami, a 23-year-old man from Sahneh in Kermanshah Province and a resident of Kamalshahr, Karaj, was shot at close range on November 3, 2022 during the nationwide protests following the state killing of Jina Amini and on the 40th-day commemoration of Hadis Najafi. He was targeted by Islamic Republic security forces in Zafar 14 Alley in Kamalshahr and sustained severe head injuries. He remained in the intensive care unit at Madani Hospital in Karaj for 33 days, and on December 6, 2022, he passed away.
