Saman Qaderbig, a 34-year-old man from Bukan, was wounded and went missing after being directly shot by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Mirzaei neighborhood of Bukan during the nationwide protests against the state-killing of Zhina Amini. After several days of being missing, he died from his injuries on 16 November 2022 at Taleghani Hospital in Orumiyeh.
Saman Qaderbig was transported to Taleghani Hospital in Orumiyeh by his family via ambulance, and after being admitted to the emergency department, the hospital informed the family about his death approximately half an hour later.
It is worth noting that government institutions had pressured the family to declare the cause of their son’s death as “suicide.” In the death certificate, Saman Qaderbig’s cause of death was recorded as “behavioral disorders,” a claim that his family strongly rejects.
