Saeed Mohammadi, a 21-year-old athlete from Eslamabad-e Gharb (Shabad), was killed on September 21, 2022, during nationwide protests over the government-sanctioned killing of Zhina Amini in the city, after being shot directly by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces.
