Nasim Sedqi, a 23-year-old young woman from Shahin Dezh in West Azerbaijan Province and a resident of Urmia, was killed on October 31, 2022, during the nationwide protests against the state killing of Jina Amini in Urmia, after being directly shot with live ammunition by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Nasim Sedqi was fatally shot in the forehead and chest by government forces using live bullets.
The authorities pressured Ms. Sedqi’s family to declare the cause of her death as a car accident.
It is worth noting that the burial ceremony of this young woman was held on November 2, 2022, in her hometown of Shahin Dezh, under heavy security presence and strict government control, and conducted secretly.
